تتذكر الجدة فطوم كيف تعلقت بخروف العيد وهي في السابعة من عمرها، فتحكي لحفيديها ماهر و سلمى ما حدث معها من مغامرات وتنقلهم والطفل القارىء الي أجواء طفولتها في القرية.

Grandmother Fatoum tells her grandchildren how as a child she got attached to the lamb meant for the Eid sacrifice .The story is retold in flashback and set in a Palestinian village. The illustrations show the beautiful embroidered dresses of the village women folk and help transport the children to another time and place.

. يحب القط سمسم أن يلعب مع صديقه عليّ بائع الكعك. فيقفز داخل كعكة يحملها علي، وتعلق الكعكة حول رقبته. تبدأ مطاردة شيقة في السوق بحيث يلحق عليّ سمسم الذي يركض فوق، تحت، بين وحول البضائع والناس في السوق. ترى هل يتمكن عليّ من الامساك بالقط الشقي؟

While Ali is selling “Ka’ak”, Simsem the cat jumps through a “Ka’ak” that gets stuck around its neck. An exciting chase follows where Simsem runs under, over, beside, between different things in the souk and the story ends with a contrite Simsem helping Ali sell his ka’ak.

. عند نشمة جمل صغير اسمه جاسم، يهرب جاسم إلى المدينة ليرى عماراتها العالية وشوارعها الجميلة. وفي المدينة يواجه جاسم المشاكل الكثيرة وينتهي به المطاف في حديقة الحيوانات إلى أن تنقذه نشمة وتعيده معها إلى البادية

The young camel Jassem runs away from his friend Nashma to explore the city he has heard so much about. The little camel faces a lot of problems in the city and ends up sad and lonely in the zoo. The story ends on a happy note with Nashma and Jassem reunited.

قصّة عن حصان صغير اسمه أشهب، يبحث عن وظيفة مناسبة له. يجرّب أشهب عدّة وظائف ويستبعدها جميعها إلى أن يلتقي بالمهرج مرجان. يا ترى ما هي الوظيفة الّتي سيجدها أشهب و تتناسب مع شخصيّته؟

The young horse Ashhab is a dreamer. He tries out different jobs and finally stumbles on the right one while helping a circus clown put his act together.
